| Working & Treatment of
Trimethoprim – Trimpex |
The branded prescription medicine Trimpex has been formulated from
its active pharmaceutical ingredient called Trimethoprim which is an
antibiotic widely used for treating bacterial infections. The drug
is said to work by preventing the growth of the typical bacteria in
the body. It treats only bacterial infections and is not indicated
for treating any type of viral infections like common colds or flu.
Unnecessary use or even over usage of any antibiotic drug may
ultimately end up in its diminished efficacy. It is recommended that
this medication should be taken orally on the empty stomach at least
1 hour before meals or 2 hours after taking the meals or as directed
by the physician. It could be taken with food also in case the
stomach upset is experienced. The dosage is exclusively based on the
patient’s medical condition and response to therapy.
Usually Trimpex-Trimethoprim or any other antibiotic drug works best
when the amount of medicine in the body is kept at the consistent
level, so the drug should be taken at the evenly spaced intervals
only. The drug Trimpex-Trimethoprim belongs to the cluster of
medications called antibacterial agents better known as antibiotics
and is believed to work by killing the specific bacteria in the
urinary tract that are responsible of causing certain uncomfortable
symptoms like the recurrent urge of passing urine in spite of the
condition when no urine is literally passed, experiencing pain while
passing urine as well as pain in the lower abdominal area and or
back.
